INTRODUCTION

Approximately 200 students from N.G.H.S.S. had commenced rehearsals after summer vacation for the production of a unique musical extravaganza - Circle of Life, an adaptation of the Disney musical Lion King .

This is the latest educational development initiative programme by N.G.H.S.S. to further integration among students and promote their self confidence while they enjoy the holistic experience. Under the able guidance of a skilled director Mr.Aniket Deb Roy , the budding stars at N.G.H.S.S. from classes VII to XII will take on the challenging roles of Mufasa , Simba , Scar, Timon, Pumba, Nala, Shenzi. These characters form an integral part of this much loved musical extravaganza slated to be held at Kala Mandir on 10th , 11th, and 15th to 18th December .The endearing storyline beautifully explores the father-son relationship of Mufasa and Simba, treachery of an uncle like Scar and his lust for power , romantic love of Simba and Nala and young Simba taking on the mantle and leading his herd to victory overcoming all obstacles .

This musical play awakens us to the fact that many circumstances in the child’s life requires love and encouragement with the development of the child’s self esteem. It has been a wonderful experience for one and all.
