The preamble to the constitution of India plays high importance on Liberty of Thought, expression, Belief, faith and worship; as an ideal placed before the nation.

 

Liberty House at NGHSS aims at ameliorating the all round development of the students of the students by giving them freedom to express their ideas and opinions without fear or hesitation through the co-curricular activities of the house like debating, extempore, slogan, collage, competition and the like.

 

The Senior School House Reports

 

Liberty House, one of the four Houses of National Gems has always been admired for its outstanding performances. This was mainly possible due to the noticeable unity and hard work of the students and the House teachers.

The whole concept of House Competition inside our school has always been fruitful  as it has exposed innumerable talents among the huge pool of participating students.

The students of Liberty House bagged several awards in various categories. In the Eastern Dance category the House emerged winners both in the Solo and Group events. Dimple Varshey and Ankita Basu did their House proud by winning the Senior Debate Competition. Ankita Sharma and Ankit Chowdhury emerged winners in the Talk Show. Chayana Mondal won the Elocution Competition at the Middle School Level.

The one area in which the House of Liberty excelled was Sports. They literally swept the Indoor Games. The House did exceptionally well in the Senior Football, Junior Throwball and Basketball (Girls) Competitions.

 

Thurs the primary aim of Liberty House, which is to look for new talents and to provide them a platform to perform has finally paid off.

The Junior School House Reports

 

Every child is gifted with a host of attributes. We have to nurture and foster their sentiments, feelings and emotions to unearth their latent talents. The selection of students for the various Inter House events is always difficult as teachers have to choose the best without hurting the sentiments of those children who could not be selected.

This year the participants of Liberty House excelled in most of the events especially in One –Act Play, Quiz, Recitation, Dance and Music. For four consecutive years, Liberty House has bagged the first position in One Act Play and Eastern Group Dance competitions. This year the students and teachers worked very hard to maintain their position. With their indomitable will power, the students emerged as the champions of the Eastern Group Dance competition. The scintillating and vibrant performances of the participants captivated the hearts of the audience. In Quiz, Recitation and Music the House of Liberty emerged as the winner.

Students and teachers felt elated when Liberty House won the Inter House Championship Trophy and also the trophy for Academic Excellence. Without the wholehearted co-operation and dedication of each team member this achievement would have been impossible.
