The preamble to the constitution defines fraternity as a feeling of brotherhood and a sense of belonging for each other. The idea of fraternity assumes special significance for a country like India which is known for its diversity in religion, language, custom and traditions.

Such a constitutional goal has been adopted by the Fraternity house of NGHSS tries to inculcate feelings of camaraderie and tolerance for others among the students through the various activities at school like dramatics, dance competitions and the like. The students learn to work as a unified group to achieve a specified goal.

We intend to promote our students, thus our school and finally live up to the goal of the constitution by preparing them for healthy competitions at inter and intra school level with fraternal feelings and consideration.

The Junior School House Reports

The Inter-House Competition aims at an all round development of the students. It is an in-house programme, where students of the four Houses Equality, Fraternity, Justice and Liberty take an active part to be the best among the others. A healthy competition on a same platform encourages the students to bring out their hidden talents inherent in the children of the school. This helps them to develop their potential and also gain self-confidence.

The teachers play a major role in training the children. Students co-operate with the teachers and try to learn something new and exchange ideas. The contributions of the teachers are immense and students gather new experience.

Blue represents the House of Fraternity. Fraternity House contestants stood 1st as well as 2nd in Drawing, Story Telling, Recitation and Creative Writing competitions. Our House participants also stood 3rd in Eastern Dance (solo), Western Singing (Group) as well as One Act play contests. It is the outcome of the effort and hardwork of the students and the teachers of Fraternity House. The House won the Inter-House Championship Trophy for the year 2007-2008.

The Senior School House Reports

The House of Fraternity believes that ‘Inspirations begin great works’. Inspired by the success of the House of Fraternity in the previous year, the entire unit of the House was determined to continue with the success. Inter – House Fest is such a platform where many new talents are discovered. Fraternity House members strived endlessly to scale and achieve the greatest height in whichever activity they participated. Initially, there were difficult hurdles to be crossed, specially in the events like talk Show, Debate and Elocution but the competition became more exciting as we faced challenges to win. Sneha Karmakar of our House was adjudged as the Best Speaker. The tireless effort of the teachers and the students brought success in almost all the categories of the Inter-House Fest. The House of Fraternity got the 1st position in Hindi and English One Act Plays, Western Dance and many more events.

Our Quiz team deserves special mention as the Junior team got the 2nd position and Senior team got the 1st position.

In the Sports arena too we excelled in almost all the categories and it needs mention that after almost two years Fraternity House once again bagged the prestigious 2nd position.

Last , but not the least the House of Fraternity was declared as the Champion House of the Inter House Fest 2007-08(jointly with the House of Equality).

Fraternity House tasted success in a remarkable fashion in this year’s Inter-House Events and proved that to continue with the flow of success is the mark of a genius.
